  • Characterised by a lively, mineral freshness that distinguishes it from richer styles. The palate remains crisp and food-friendly throughout, with no heaviness.

Breeding
Ageing on wooden racks for a minimum of 3 years in the House's renowned Crayères in Reims (UNESCO World Heritage classified)
On the eye
Brilliant, limpid robe of pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles.
On the nose
Fine and fresh, with delicate notes of white stone fruits — Reinette apple and pear — alongside subtle apricot, hazelnut and fresh almond. The bouquet remains elegant and restrained.
In the mouth
The attack is clean and precise, revealing ripe stone fruit character — greengage and nectarine. A long, refreshing finish with good acidity and mineral grip. Well-balanced throughout.
M. Francois
I find Ruinart Brut particularly rewarding with shellfish — poached oysters, seared scallops, or sole meunière all show the wine to advantage. Its freshness cuts through richness without dominating. A natural aperitif, certainly, but its food compatibility extends well beyond the opening course. A house I have long respected for its consistency.

CHAMPAGNE RUINART

Founded on 1 September 1729 in Reims, Ruinart holds the distinction of being the oldest Champagne House in the world. Spanning 17 hectares across the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, the House works chalk soils of remarkable mineral character, its Gallo-Roman crayères listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Chardonnay lies at the heart of Ruinart's identity, lending its cuvées a characteristic aerial elegance and precise tension. The House joined the LVMH group in 1987 and holds HVE certification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the consistency of its style, the depth of its historical roots, and the rigour of its viticultural commitments. A Champagne reference we are proud to list.
