Breeding
Ageing on lees: over 36 months in the House's ancient chalk cellars, well beyond the legal minimum of 15 months. Reserve wines: comprising 40%, sourced from exceptional vintages and held in stainless steel to preserve freshness whilst developing complexity.
On the eye
Deep golden hue with brilliant, sustained effervescence
On the nose
Fresh brioche, cultured butter and roasted hazelnuts with almond notes. A bouquet of considerable aromatic depth and maturity.
In the mouth
Velvet texture with an almost creamy mouthfeel, sustained by the richness of reserve wines. Finish of vanilla, amber and praline, with admirable length.
M. Francois
The Brut Reserve is arguably the finest non-vintage champagne available. Its aromatic richness and fleshed-out texture distinguish it from lighter effervescents, positioning it closer to a serious white wine. This is a champagne of substance and conviction, rewarding those who value depth and ageing potential over fleeting delicacy. Essential for the discerning enthusiast.

CHAMPAGNE CHARLES HEIDSIECK

Founded in Reims in 1851, Champagne Charles Heidsieck crafts its wines from the celebrated Gallo-Roman Crayères, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015. Its founder, Charles-Camille Heidsieck — known as 'Champagne Charlie' — established from the outset a style built on ripeness and depth, drawing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier across 60 hectares of chalky slopes, grands and premiers crus of the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the consistency of its range, its dual HVE and Terra Vitis certifications, and the remarkable steadiness of its assemblages. A Champagne reference we recommend with genuine conviction.
