L’appellation Bourgogne Chitry est réservée aux vins blancs, rouges et rosés produits dans l’aire délimitée de la commune de Chitry. Le vignoble de Chitry occupe les coteaux qui entourent la vallée où se trouve le village. L’exposition : nord-nord-ouest / sud-sud-est. Ces côtes appartiennent à l’étage jurassique kimméridgien supérieur et moyen, argilo-calcaire et très favorable à un vignoble de qualité. On est ici à deux pas de Chablis et dans le même canton.
