The golden nectar of the Loire Valley

  • A collectible moelleux from a distinguished vintage, this Bonnezeaux expresses the full richness of its terroir. Crafted from botrytised grapes, it demonstrates the remarkable concentration and complexity that characterises the finest Loire sweet wines.
  • The wine reveals layers of dried apricot, quince and honeyed fruit, underpinned by subtle notes of caramel and spice. Its natural acidity provides essential balance, ensuring freshness and longevity in the glass.
  • Splendid alongside foie gras or delicate fruit-based desserts, this wine equally rewards contemplative tasting alone. A rare treasure worthy of careful cellaring and suitable for marking significant occasions.

In the mouth
Rich and velvety on the palate, with balancing acidity that prevents cloying. Flavours of preserved fruits, honey and spiced bread develop through the mid-palate, concluding with a long, persistent finish that speaks of quality and restraint.
On the nose
Captivating bouquet of dried apricot, quince and acacia honey, with subtle undertones of caramel, vanilla and white flowers. The aromatics speak of careful botrytisation and measured élevage.
On the eye
Intense golden robe with amber highlights, suggesting considerable age and concentration.
M. Francois
The interplay between complex fruit aromatics, honeyed sweetness and lively acidity creates a genuinely balanced experience. This is a wine of genuine substance, neither over-extracted nor thin. Ideal for special occasions or as an accompaniment to refined cuisine, it represents the considered craftsmanship of a serious producer. A wine to savour and, indeed, to lay down.
